As Marketmanager you are responsible for building and maintaining a strong network with growers, wholesalers, exporters and their customers (retailers and e-tailers). You play a crucial role in positioning and profiling our assortment. Through conversations, research and data analysis, you determine needs and follow trends within Retail and Wholesale. You function as a full strategic discussion partner for Retail, the sales (management) of Van Zanten Breeding and the growers. In addition, you initiate and lead market introductions and concepts.
In this role you participate in events, flower trials and Open Days.
In addition, you have sales tasks and responsibilities. Based on a predefined and approved sales plan, you realize the desired turnover and margin with existing and new customers in, initially, the Netherlands. The focus is on strategic collaborations with the larger growers.
You are part of a team with 12 colleagues, which means that you support and replace each other where necessary. The location is Rijsenhout, which is along the A4, close to Schiphol Airport. This is a full-time position.
Your responsibilities.
You report to the Director of Sales and Marketing. For sales activities, you report to the Head of Sales Netherlands.
You are unique
We are looking for a colleague who shares our passion for flowers and plants, and specifically for the cut flower product. You have good communication skills and can think and talk along on a strategic level with the various links in the chain. You work independently, systematically and result-oriented.
We are looking for candidates who
– Combine a hbo working and thinking level with a sound knowledge of marketing and sales
– Have at least 3 years of experience in relevant commercial positions within the chain
– Good knowledge of the floriculture market and be able to analyze trade flows
– In possession of a driving license B
– A good command of the Dutch and English language
– Willing to travel frequently in the Netherlands, but occasionally also abroad
