Van Zanten Breeding is looking for a EMPLOYEE BREEDING DEPT.
with a passion for floriculture
Your responsibilities
In this position you execute all cultivation processes within the breeding department. You take care of crop maintenance in the various crops, perform multiple tasks such as crop care, crop protection and assist with various breeding activities. Furthermore, you are keen on detecting faults in cultivation equipment, cultivation conditions, etc. and ensure adequate follow-up.
As an employee you are responsible to the Team Leader Breeding. You are part of a team of about 20 colleagues, which means that you support and replace each other when necessary. The location is Rijsenhout, which is along the A4 motorway, close to Schiphol Airport. This is a full-time position.
You are unique
We are looking for a colleague who shares our passion for flowers and plants. You may already have several years of experience in a similar position. You can work independently, are accurate and quality conscious. With your knowledge and commitment you will contribute to the development of our new varieties.
We are looking for candidates who:
– A completed MBO education in a green direction, preferably horticulture
– Several years of relevant work experience
– In possession of a spraying license and forklift certificate, or willing to obtain these
– Have experience in operating agricultural machinery
